Week 12 in the NFL starts early with three matches on Thanksgiving Day with Green Bay's journey to Detroit getting the festivities under way.
Both sides are really limping into this one.
The Lions have big doubts over quarterback Matthew Stafford following his heroics in the wild 38-37 victory over Cleveland at the weekend.
Stafford was flattened in the closing stages of the game but managed to get back on the field and toss his fifth toudown pass of the game to secure victory for just the second time this season.
It transpires that Stafford had dislocated his shoulder and is now a major doubt with this being a short week.
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson also had a career-best 161 yards in receptions but has been struggling with a knee injury and clearly these two provide Detroit with the best chance of claiming a third win.
The Packers are equally dinged up - but on the other side of the ball.
Linebacker Aaron Kampman and cornerback Al Harris have both been ruled out for the rest of the campaign and require surgery.
Head coach Mike McCarthy needs to slot in other players in a hurry and get a response if they are going to head into a 10-day break on 7-4 to stay in touch with Minnesota before their next game.
It is understandable why bookmakers are in no hurry to price this one up with so many question marks over personnel.
The second game of the triple header sees Oakland head to Dallas with the former boosted by a dramatic win over Cincinnati.
I am keen to oppose Tom Cable's side though as they still only average just over 10 points per game and the cards seemed to fall in their favour as they edged past the stunned Bengals 20-17.
The jury remains out over QB Bruce Gradkowski despite his latest spirited effort and the Dallas defence is going to be hellbent on shipping as few points as possible considering their QB Tony Romo may not be 100 percent having taken a knee in the back against Washington.
The Cowboys are not the only team with a quarterback in the wars - Denver are in a similar predicament as their season continues to fall apart.
Starter Kyle Orton was called on despite an injured ankle to replace the inneffective Chris Simms as they crashed to a 32-3 hammering at home to San Diego and lost top spot in the AFC South to their big rivals.
A 6-0 start is now 6-4 and a place in the play-offs is slipping from their grasp as every week goes by.
They travel to the Meadowlands to tackle the New York Giants, who have been far from convincing themselves since being drubbed by the Saints back in week six.
They arrested a real slump by edging past the Atlanta Falcons in overtime but once again looked like a team best left alone at the moment.
Denver are in freefall so we shall put our faith in the Dallas defence to limit the scoring opportunities of the visiting Raiders.
