A "smart choice of entrants" means that Switzerland are bookmaker VC Bet's current joint-favourites to win the Eurovision Song Contest that takes place in Kiev on May 21.
That's the verdict of the firm's odds man Paul Moody who believes that Switzerland's decision to enter Estonian group Vanilla Ninja will earn them vital votes from Eastern Europe.
"The Song Contest witnesses notoriously political voting every year and the Swiss might just have pulled off a master-stroke here.
"It's a canny move by getting Estonian group Vanilla Ninja to perform their entry 'Cool Vibes'.
"This should enable the Swiss to get vital votes from the Eastern European countries which is vital nowadays and a very good song makes them co-favourites with me."
The Swiss are quoted at 11/2 along with Norway.
"Norway are most famous for getting 'nil points' and but they have interestingly gone for glam rock band Wig Wam which I think has the ingredients to deliver.
"For a country outside Eastern Europe to triumph now I think the song will have to be very good but I can see them delivering that here with 'In My Dreams'.
"It's likely to put many others in the shade performed live and could be an absolute slam-dunk come the final as there is nothing else quite like it on display."
Moody said that the bids of Lithuania, Belarus, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro and Croatia must all be respected.
"They are all assured of getting votes from their neighbours and all have decent songs in a year which is higher in quality than normal.
"I'll be keeping an eye on all of these as winners come the day."
The UK entry 'Touch My Fire' sung by Javine saw early support at 33s.
"There's plenty more room to lay Javine and I think it will be doing well to make the top ten, while I think that 50/1 Ireland might even struggle to qualify with their entry 'Love'.
Moody reports that Greece were heavily supported as soon as he published his prices.
"Helena Paparizou's 'You're Number One' has seen such a high level of fiscal interest I've cut the Greeks' opening quote of 12/1 to 13/2.
"The song represents a five figure loser already."
Despite such strong investment in the Greeks, Moody says he's not too concerned at this stage.
"Greece don't have to compete in the qualifying round this year but I happen to think that competing in the qualifier is a plus for this event.
"Although a decent performance from Helena is guaranteed, I don't see this being as strong as last year's third place entry and while I can see it being in the top six, I will be continuing to lay it."
Hungary (25s to 16/1) have also been well supported.
"Hungary's song is reminiscent of last year's Ukrainian entry without being quite as as good," said Moody.
"Malta, Latvia, Netherlands and Estonia are also seeing good each-way support."
