2pts Leeds, Charlton and Norwich treble at 3.38/1 (Betfred). The top three are all at home and should be expected to post routine victories.

Let's try and have some fun in League One this weekend.

The division has become mind-numbingly predictable over the past couple of seasons and we've long since thrown in the towel on chasing upsets, so maybe now the time is right to start dabbling in some good old-fashioned multiples.

Lately, we've been toying with the idea of stacking up short-priced favourites like empty cardboard boxes, confident that not a single outsider will be capable of landing the shot that brings whole lot tumbling down.

Last week, we talked about setting up a five-timer that paid greater than 8/1 but never went through with it and saved ourselves a point.

As it turned out, four of the five teams obliged but MK Dons handed Carlisle a three-goal head start and still managed to pull it back to 3-3 before running out of steam and eventually going down 4-3.

Had you thrown Southampton into the mix that evening - they were supposedly leaving their comfort zone to face Hartlepool on the blustery Teesside coast, but sauntered to a 3-1 victory - you would have been looking at a six-timer that paid a shade over 22/1.

So the big decision is not necessarily who to include but where to draw the line because no fewer than six teams will start as odds-on shots at home this weekend and it would be a surprise if more than one of them failed to deliver.

Anyway, after some deliberation, we've decided to play relatively safe and back the Leeds, Charlton and Norwich treble at a shade over 10/3.

So let's look at each of the components in order of appearance.

Leeds are the biggest price of the lot at 8/11 in the early kick-off against local rivals Huddersfield and they will be looking for revenge after suffering the humbling experience of defeat in both league matches against the Terriers last season.

It was the first time that Town had completed a league double over their illustrious Yorkshire neighbours for 78 years and you can rest assured that Simon Grayson will be using the point as motivation before the game at Elland Road on Saturday.

As the division's leading scorers, Huddersfield clearly possess a lot of firepower but they usually struggle to impose themselves on the road and it's hard to fancy them against a team that's collected a staggering 59 points from the last available 63 on home soil.

Lee Clark's men might be flying high but there's a lot of easy points on offer in the section and Leeds are in a different league altogether.

Next up is Charlton at 8/13.

The Addicks have won eight out of 10 at the Valley and they face misfiring Southend who disappointed us in midweek by going down with barely a whimper in a 3-0 home defeat against Norwich.

The Shrimpers used to be considered one of the gutsier teams at this level but financial restrictions appear to be taking their toll on manager Steve Tilson and he's struggling to get anything out of a threadbare squad at the moment.

We're still not convinced that Charlton are the real deal in terms of automatic promotion but we can trust them to consistently deliver business-like performances against the also-rans in their own backyard and the price is just about big enough to warrant our involvement.

Finally, Norwich make up the trio at 4/7.

The Canaries are scoring goals for fun and they should be fancied to break down an Oldham defence that has been struggling in recent weeks.

Dave Penney's men might have been fancied to cause an upset in this fixture when they were proving difficult to break down in October but a sequence of one win in 10 matches tells its own story.

The Latics have failed to score in seven of those encounters and you fancy this could turn into a rout if the hosts get their noses in front early enough.

Some punters might be tempted to add Colchester at 8/11 to make up a four-timer at 13/2 and possibly even MK Dons at 4/6 for the five-timer at nearly 12/1, but we'll stick with the big three, all of whom are playing well and should be trusted to bring home the bacon in front of big crowds.
