Joleon Lescott is 4/11 with Sky Bet to join Manchester City this summer despite Everton's insistence they will do everything to keep him at Goodison Park.

Lescott has been repeatedly linked with big-spending Manchester City this summer, with a fee upwards of £20million being suggested while it's been claimed the defender, who lives in the Manchester area, would be receptive to such a move.

But Toffees boss David Moyes told shareholders on Wednesday night: "I have already said there will be no players sold at Everton and I do not feel I need to say any more.

"The board have never sold a player from me, it will only be at my discretion. I said it at the end of the season and I do not need to say any more."

But Sky Bet aren't convinced, making Lescott 15/8 to remain at the club by the end of the summer transfer window.

The firm's spokesman Tim Reynolds said: "Since we opened the book two days ago on Lescott's club after the summer transfer window we have only seen one way money and it's not for the defender to stay with Everton.

"We were originally 15/8 for Lescott to move to City but due to the constant support we've seen we're now 4/9 he moves to the Citizens and 13/8 he stays with Everton."
