2pts on HT score to be 0-0 at 17/10 (Sportingbet). Both sides are evenly matched and it should be a quiet start to the game.
0.5pts on first goal 71-80 mins at 20/1 (bet365). Both defences are strong and a late goal could decide the winner.
0.5pts on first goal 81-FT mins at 20/1 (bet365). See above.

The Blue Square Premier play-off final takes place on Sunday as Cambridge take on Torquay at Wembley and it is tough to predict which side will make the leap to the Football League.

Both outfits are evenly matched with top performers in all areas of the pitch. Cambridge have Scott Rendell in attack, Chris Hargreaves in midfield and a very solid defence but Torquay are able to match them step for step with Tim Sills, Chris Hargreaves and an equally solid backline at their disposal

The two matches between the two sides this season have also been tight. The clash at Plainmoor ended 0-0 and Torquay only secured a 1-0 win in September at the Trade Recruitment Stadium thanks to Wayne Carlisle's 90th minutes strike.

It is certainly tough to pick a winner. Both sides are available at 13/8 to claim glory after 90 minutes but, rather than take the 23/10 on offer for the draw at full-time, I think you can find a bit more value by looking at other available markets.

It should be a nervous start to the contest with so much at stake. Both sides were losers at Wembley last season, Cambridge in the play-off final and Torquay in the FA Trophy final, and the prize of a spot in League Two could well lead to a quiet start.

The odds of 17/10 with Sportingbet for the score to be 0-0 at half-time is therefore very tempting as the second and third best defences in the league battle for supremacy. The other bet that looks appealing is for the first goal of the game to come between 71-80 minutes and 81-full-time.

You can get odds of 20/1 for both eventualities and they are definitely worth a small punt. The games between the clubs earlier in the season shows goals could be at a premium and things could get nervy in the final stages as the prize of promotion to League Two creates added pressure.
