RUMFORD A 40/1 CRACKER!
Australian Brett Rumford's victory in the St Omer Open landed a 40/1 coup for the Bettingzone's David John.
The bookies had found the tournament desperately difficult to price up - going an incredible 33/1 the field - but John was altogether more decisive.
He said: "My first recommendation is for Australian Brett Rumford.
"He finished 57th in the Order Of Merit on the main Tour in 2001 before losing his way and his card last year.
"Now mixing it up between the Challenge Tour and whatever invites he can get to the better events, he has not played too badly in recent weeks which has included a T5 at the Fortis Challenge Open.
"He performed with credit at last week's British Masters before a closing 79 saw him tumble down the leaderboard from 12th to 56th.
"Still only 25, he has a future ahead of him and victory would be the ideal springboard."
Those words proved prophetic as Rumford led from start to finish after a course-record 64 in the first round.
He carded a final-round 67 for a 15-under-par total of 269 and a five-shot winning margin to reward those who had lumped on at the 40/1.
It all shows once again that for the very best in sports betting advice (we've been in profit every single month in 2003) stay logged on to the Bettingzone.
