Bettingzone tip David Howell is an 8/15 chance for victory in the TCL Classic heading into the final round on the Chinese resort island of Hainan.

Howell, flagged up pre-tournament as the man to beat at 8/1, equalled the lowest 54-hole score in the history of the European Tour as he moved on to 23 under par to hold on to his lead.

The European number one overcame a slow start to the day to finish with a six-under-par 66, one shot clear of Australia's Andrew Buckle, with a back nine including two birdies an eagle to go with his two birdies on the outward trek.

Sweden's Johan Edfors was in third place after a round of 63 - the day's lowest - moved him onto 21 under par while Liverpool's Nick Dougherty finished on 19 under par after a third-round score of 64.

Howell dominates the betting at 8/15 with Bet Direct, Paddy Power and VC Bet, with Buckle the 10/3 second favourite at Sporting Odds.
