Rangers haven't been at their best since the turn of the year but have progressed to the Co-operative Insurance Cup final, are still in the Scottish Cup and go into Wednesday's SPL clash with Motherwell 10 points clear of Celtic.
But the gap at the top may be cut to eight by 10pm on Wednesday as I fancy Craig Brown's Well to take a point off the champions at Fir Park.
Rangers haven't won there in the league since Paul Le Guen's reign, Walter Smith leading his men to four successive draws in Lanarkshire.
And Rangers' goalless draw at St Mirren in the Scottish Cup at the weekend was their fifth in nine games over 90 minutes in 2010.
Meanwhile, Brown, who was named manager of the month for January after succeeding Jim Gannon, has won four of seven league games so far while it's five successive SPL clean sheets for the Steelmen.
All in all, it points to a very tough night for Rangers and although they could have Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller back in their starting line-up, both showed they are lacking in sharpness in their cameo appearances in Paisley on Saturday while any striker is going to struggle on the Fir Park pitch.
Although it would be wrong to suggest Smith would be happy with just a point from this one, with such a gap at the top and home games against Hibs and Celtic coming up, he probably wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw, which looks decent value at 10/3 with Sky Bet.
Elsewhere on Wednesday night, Dundee United host Hamilton at Tannadice.
United have recovered from the initial slump that came following Craig Levein's departure and made it through to the Scottish Cup quarter-finals with a 1-0 win at St Johnstone on Saturday.
And they are huge favourites to beat Accies who haven't won in nine games.
But sometimes the raw stats don't tell the whole story.
United are unbeaten in seven games but in that time they've played only one side in the top six while in the nine games Accies have gone without victory they've faced Rangers three times (twice in the cup and once in the league), Celtic twice, Hibs, United and Motherwell - the sides that make up the top five.
So Billy Reid is right not to panic even though his side are bottom of the table. And he will feel his side can make it third time lucky at Tannadice.
In the their two trips there since winning promotion back to the top flight they've drawn 1-1 - with the home side needing last-minute goals to salvage a point on both occasions.
And Accies aren't the only lowly side to trouble Peter Houston's men at Tannadice either. United have no problem raising their game against the top sides but often struggle against the teams they are expected to beat.
This season so far, three of the bottom five - St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and Accies themselves - have all emerged with draws from their trips north.
With all that in mind, I reckon 5/1 on Hamilton in the 'draw no bet' market is reasonable value.
